Where does cashmere fiber come from? A natural
fiber, cashmere from Mongolia is the finest in
the world. Mongolian goats must endure extreme
weather conditions, freezing winters and dry,
hot summers. Nature supplies the answer with a
layered, downy coat of supple fleece providing
insulation in the winter. In the spring, this
overcoat of long, coarse guard hairs are combed
to expose the fine cashmere fiber underneath.
No animal is harmed in any way to produce our cashmere.
Keepers comb the cashmere goat just before
it would naturally shed in the springtime. The
highest quality cashmere can only be produced
under the exact, natural, genetic, climatic, indigenous
conditions that exist in Mongolia. Cashmere yarns
produced here are the most sought after in the
world.
An extraordinary characteristic of cashmere is
durability.
Cashmere fibers remain unchanged with the challenge
of time and improve with age. |

Our cashmere goats graze on bamboo grown abundantly
in the grasslands of Mongolia. It was only natural
that we paired the bamboo fiber and the luxury
of our cashmere yarn to create our newest development,
pür camboo. The pairing of the most luxurious
fiber in the world and the most sustainable natural
protein fiber marries the best of both worlds.
From the grasslands of Mongolia, we bring you,
pür camboo®. |

Bamboo has been used for 1000’s of years to make many kinds of everyday products. Fabric made from bamboo are light, transluscent and very soft. Bamboo has a natural sheen and silky hand. It is absorbent, hypo-allergenic and fast-drying.
The most sustainable of all fibres, bamboo grows rapidly and needs no pesticides. Bamboo fiber is made from the pulp, cellulosic material of the bamboo stalk.
Our latest yarn, pür bamboo, is grown, harvested, spun and woven from a
cashmere point of view.
